BEIJING (Reuters) – The U.S. and French Navy performed bilateral operations within the Philippine Sea on Tuesday to advance their interoperability “in help of a free and open Indo-Pacific”, the U.S. seventh Fleet mentioned in a press release on Thursday.
Vessels concerned within the operations included U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey and the French Navy Aquitane-class frigate FS Bretagne, with the ships conducting formation crusing, mixed communication, and simulated refuelling at sea, in keeping with the assertion.
