MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia on Sunday denied a report that Ukraine’s assault on the Kursk area had derailed oblique talks with Kyiv on halting strikes on vitality and energy targets, saying there had been no talks with Kyiv about civilian infrastructure amenities.
The Washington Publish reported on Saturday that Ukraine and Russia have been set to ship delegations to Qatar this month to barter a landmark settlement halting strikes on vitality and energy infrastructure on each warring sides.
The Publish stated the settlement would have amounted to a partial ceasefire however that the talks have been derailed as a result of Ukraine’s assault on Russian sovereign territory.
“Nobody broke something off as a result of there was nothing to interrupt off,” Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for Russia’s international ministry, stated of the Publish report.
