TOKYO (Reuters) – Nippon Metal Vice Chairman Takahiro Mori mentioned on Tuesday the Japanese firm stays dedicated to talks with the United Steelworkers (USW) over its bid to accumulate U.S. Metal.
Mori, the important thing negotiator of the $14.9 billion buyout deal, mentioned USW President David McCall “has not significantly thought of any of the proposals that we’ve got offered” in a letter to the U.S. Metal staff.
“We simply want USW management to return to the desk. I’m hopeful they may achieve this within the very close to future,” Mori wrote.
