MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian prosecutors on the trial of U.S. journalist Evan Gershkovich on Friday requested that he be jailed for 18 years on prices of spying, Russian information businesses reported.
A verdict might be handed on the Wall Avenue Journal reporter inside hours, the businesses stated. Gershkovich, his newspaper and the U.S. authorities all reject the accusation of spying.
