SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Singapore investigators analyzing flight SQ321 that was hit by extreme turbulence have obtained knowledge from the cockpit voice recorder and flight knowledge recorder, Singapore Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat stated on Friday.
“We have now a staff that went to Bangkok and so they have obtained the info from the cockpit voice recorder and flight knowledge recorder,” the minister stated in an announcement.
“They’re going by the info from these two recorders now to have the ability to verify what occurred throughout these moments.”
The ministry is awaiting findings of the investigation by the Transport Security Investigation Bureau (TSIB) Singapore, he stated.
One passenger died of a suspected coronary heart assault and dozens have been injured after Singapore Airline Flight SQ321, flying from London to Singapore, encountered what the airline described as sudden, excessive turbulence whereas flying over Myanmar.
